Be impressed

I'm so proud of my blog! It took a lot of hard work to get to this point. I've planned and designed and cried and laughed. Just kidding, I did nothing. Thanks to my fabulous friend Megan I have this amazing looking blog! Her blog is amazingly cute as well so check it out!

I have no idea how to blog or what to blog about so Megan suggested an introduction post. So, introductions:

I'm Natalie, married to the wonderful Stevicus (yes that's his real name). We have our sweet pea, Kayla, who is the joy of our existence, and two dogs, who are the bane of it.

Steve and I met in a single's ward (shudders) which we don't tell people too often. Steve and his awesome man-ness swept me off my feet and we were married Sept. 25th 2009. Steve works for American Airlines, which first took us to Oklahoma, which we also don't like to talk about, then to Dallas, Texas where we currently live. Yes, it's super hot here, yes, we love that there's no snow. No, I'm not tan.

First month of being married! Look at all that love on Steve's face.

Miss priss here was born at 27 1/2 weeks much to the fear/excitement/freak- outness of her parents. Having a premature baby never even crossed our minds, so it was quite the surprise to say the least. She's our little miracle baby! I never knew that changing a diaper or taking a temperature would be so meaningful  and exciting. Never knew that a crying baby would be one of the best sounds I've ever heard. She's doing just swimmingly now! There's never been a happier baby.

Getting ready to go home!!!

Wow, what a trip down memory lane. *sniff sniff* Didn't think I'd get so sentimental my first time blogging, but this is emotional stuff! Kayla spent a little over 3 months in the hospital. Actually, today was her official due date... Coincidence?? *mind blown* She went home Sept. 19th, 2012 and I can't believe we've only had her home a year. I can't remember my life without her. She brightens our lives, and constantly reminds us how blessed we are! Oh, just a little, or should I say BIG SHOUT OUT to all the nurses and docs who took care of her, the family and people that took care of us, the many many prayers that were said and all the LOVE that was given! Don't know where we'd be without it.

Now my days are filled with:

You can guess which one is for me and which one is for Kayla.

So that's us in a nutshell! This may be my first (and last) post, but at least my posterity will know that I TRIED to keep a record of our lives. Kind of.
